Serene Gunnison is a Maui-born writer with a deep love for travel and conservation. She grew up as a competitive surfer, traveling often for contests and free surfing—which sparked a love for exploring.
As an adult, she discovered a passion for conservation biology and Hawai'i's endemic species.
Serene's goal is to amplify the voices of Hawaiian conservation and shed light on ecotourism and regenerative travel worldwide.
When Serene isn't writing, she's spending time with her husband and dog—surfing, traveling, and looking for shells together.
